The subclass 491 visa was introduced last year.Applicants who are interested in living and working in a designated regional area in Australia and  have an eligible family member who can sponsor them.  The Family Sponsored Skilled Work Regional Visa Subclass 491 is a provisional visa for them.  Visa holders after three years will be eligible to apply for a Permanent Residence visa. Applicants must be nominated by an eligible family member residing in a designated regional area or by an Australian state or territory government or sponsored.

The subclass 491 visa is point tested. to apply for a 491 subclass visa the applicant must have at least 65 points to express his/her interest however it is highly competitive and to receive an invitation to apply you may need around 90 to 100 points. The other requirements include:

• Be nominated or sponsored
• Pass character and health requirement

If you plan to invite your relatives to visit Australia for up to 12 months Sponsored Family Stream -  Subclass 600 Visitor Visa is suitable With this visa, family members can visit friends or family, study up to 3 months in total and travel around Australia on this visa. the applicant cannot work on this visa is important to note. applicants who want to stay in Australia temporarily this visa is perfect for them. 

You must be a settled Australian citizen or permanent resident, to sponsor a relative to Australia.  at least 18 years old is must. Subclass 836 Carer Visa / Subclass 116 :

• Subclass 836 Carer Visa is also a permanent visa.To care for someone with a long-term medical condition It allows the applicant to move to Australia.

• Have a sponsor.
• The sponsor must be the applicant’s relative.
