State nomination Sydney- Skilled regional Visa 491 and skilled nominated visa 190 updates

Many people dream of migrating to Australia, some for studying there, some to travel there, or some to get an employment there, Australia’s employment rate is very high, therefore the opportunities to explore in your relevant field. Recently NSW has launched a new program for immigration employees to make their migration process easier; it has recently updated the skilled occupation list by adding more occupations to the list.

Skilled regional visa 491

Skilled regional visa 491 is a 5 year provisional visa which allows the applicants to live, work, study in Australia. After sometime the applicant can apply for a permanent residency in Australia after fulfilling some requirements. NSW has participated in 491 skilled regional visas to help the international candidates and regional economy to bring in skilled migrants from offshore.

To be eligible for NSW nomination if you fulfil the requirements of one of the following streams:

STREAM 1

• Your skill assessment should be eligible in the relevant occupation among the ones mentioned in occupation list.
• Must be employed in a relevant field from the occupation list, with minimum work of 20 hours per week from the last 12 months.

STREAM 2

• Your skills assessment should be eligible in the relevant occupation among the ones mentioned in the occupation list.
• Should have completed 24months of education where:

• The points for studying in regional Australia can be claimed on the basis of studying in regional NSW.
• According to the relevant accessing authority, you qualification should be closely related to your nominated occupation.

STREAM 3

• Your skills assessment should be eligible in the relevant occupation among the ones mentioned in the occupation list.

Skilled nominated Visa 190

The skilled nominated visa holder can live, work or study in Australia permanently, can travel to and from Australia for 5 years.

Eligibility for Skilled nominated Visa (190):

• You must be working in the relevant occupation from the occupation listed in General occupation list which is updated recently.
• Are eligible for the skilled nominated visa.
• Applicant must have submitted the EOI to Skill select.

If you’re an onshore applicant you must have fulfilled these:

• You are currently residing in Sydney, NSW OR you must have been residing in NSW for the last 3 months continuously, OR,
• Should be employed in a relevant field for a work of at least 20 hours in a week for the last 12 months.

If you’re an offshore applicant you must have fulfilled these:

• Should have resided offshore continuously for 3 months.
• Should have relevant occupation in one of the field within an ANZSCO unit group which has a tick in offshore occupations in the NSW skilled occupations list.

Work experience:

You should have a full time work experience in the relevant field of minimum 3 years for occupations in ANZSCO occupations list and have a tick under ‘experience’ column.
