Sydney’s biosecurity emergency pandemic measure to end

• The Australian Government has announced that the COVID-19 biosecurity emergency determination relating to COVID-19 will not be renewed when it expires on 17 April 2022.
• From 18 April, you will no longer need to present a negative COVID-19 test to enter Australia before boarding a flight.
• Restriction on the entry of cruise ships into the sovereign territory of Australia will also be lifted.

The most considerable change that we’re sure anyone planning a trip to and from Australia will be planning will welcome is the phase-out of pre-flight testing. In practical terms, this mean-

• If your vacation plans collapse, you will no longer be afraid to leave the house. There is no additional payment apart from vacation. No more wasting time on vacation looking for a licensed doctor or testing center to see if you can fly.

You must also do this if you are going to or travelling to Sydney, Australia.

• Double vaccination against COVID-19.
• Wear a mask in airports and on board international travels.

International travelers arriving in and departing from Australia are still required to provide proof of dual COVID-19 vaccinations. Travelers are required to wear a mask even on international flights in accordance with medical advice. These measures will be implemented in accordance with the non-urgent provisions of the biosecurity act. The requirements of the arrivals by sea as part of the security protocol for the resumption of flights is also in line with the requirements of the airline.

Foreign governments, airlines, Australian states and territories may have different vaccination and testing requirements than Australia. Before you travel:
