  • Unique and rare skills in high demand

  • With prior skills / experience recent graduate of a TSOL related occupation and can demonstrate strong employment opportunities 
  • With highly reputable, well known company, Employment directly related to nominated occupation.
  • Having lived in Tasmania for two years or more and employed in skilled area of high demand.
  • Solid and ongoing skilled employment with extensive residence in Tasmania over three years.

Tasmania Graduate Requirements:

The new rules are: 

  • From a tertiary institution in Tasmania you must have completed a course registered for overseas students on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and courses.
  • Your course of study must have been completed full time and on site and must be listed on CRICOS with duration of at least 40 weeks in Tasmania.
  • From the commencement of your course and for the duration of your studies you must have lived in Tasmania for at least one year.
  • You and your dependent can provide evidence of your ongoing genuine commitment and must be currently living in Tasmania.
  • You must provide a career plan if you are not currently in skilled employment that explains how your studies have increased your ability to find skilled work in Tasmania.
  • A relevant skills assessment will be highly regarded; however your study does not need to be related to your nominated occupation.
  • The study must be a diploma, degree or workshop development area or qualification directly related to the priority Industry Training if you held a student visa subclass 500.
  • The study must be directly related to the priority Industry Training and workshop development area if you held a visa that is not student visa.

Workshop Development Area and Priority Industry Training: 

There are a few areas that are listed in the workshop development area and priority industry training list. Applicants must meet the minimum qualification level specified for the area that apply under this program.
